Fox News Canada was created as a junction between Fox Network Groups and Sun News Network, however...Fox News Canada was extremely hated due to being just Sun News Network with the Fox News brand and not being Fox News US. on September 12, 2011 Fox News announced that they would launch in Canada as a joint venture with another news station in May of 2012. however it was delayed to March 11, 2013 on December 3, 2011.

At 10:00PM on March 11, 2013...a major power outage struck Winnipeg...thus Fox News Canada's launch was delayed to 6:00AM on March 12, 2013...around 3:00AM on March 12...the power returned to Winnipeg, at 6:00AM a rerun of the american news show The Five aired, however being owned mostly by Sun News Network, only 800 people watched The Five.

Failure[]

On April 25, 2014, Fox Network Groups announced that Fox News Canada was failing horribly, and that Fox News Canada would leave the air by 2016. they sued Sun News Network on February 1, 2015...only 11 days later Sun News Network would go out of permanently leave the air leaving Fox Network Groups under complete control of Fox News Canada...however, Fox News Canada was too far gone.

Closure[]

On March 20, 2015...Fox Network Groups announced that by March 30, 2015, Fox News Canada would leave the air...at 6:00AM on March 28, 2015, Fox News Canada suddenly went to color bars...and at 3:00PM on March 28, 2015 a goodbye message was put up on the station, the antenna stopped operations at 11:45PM on December 15, 2015. Fox News Canada's website stopped operations on May 3, 2016 after no updates since March 20, 2015. Fox News Canada's copyright expired on January 5, 2017, but Fox Network Groups re-copyrighted it by March 2017, giving some people hope that Fox News Canada will return.
